RISKADAPT Special Session at European Climate Change Adaptation Conference 2025 (ECCA2025)
June 18 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 pm

Strategies and Tools for Improving Infrastructure Resilience in Multi-Hazard contexts
The session explores strategies to increase the resilience of local assets and services towards climate extremes – such as floods, droughts, and heatwaves – through innovative multi-hazard impact assessment tools and decision-support systems.
Led by three Horizon Europe projects (ICARIA, RISKADAPT, MIRACA) funded under the EU Mission “Adaptation to climate change, the session fosters collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to bridge the gap between scientific advancements and practical resilience-building. Speakers representing local authorities and infrastructure operators will focus on the potential connection of research findings and real-world application, to foster adaptation strategies that are both scientifically robust and socially inclusive.
An interactive session will engage the audience to identify shared challenges and the relevance of proposed methodologies and tools to shape a joint technical/policy brief supporting the Adaptation Mission.
