On February 25, 2025, the RISKADAPT consortium gathered in Milan, Italy, for its third Plenary Meeting, hosted by RINA Consulting S.p.A. This meeting marked month 26 of the project and provided an opportunity for partners to align on progress, discuss key developments, and plan the next steps towards delivering innovative solutions for climate change adaptation.
Key discussions and sessions
The meeting agenda covered a range of essential topics, including project coordination and planning, with updates on progress and future milestones. Discussions also addressed user requirements and system architecture, refining system design based on feedback. Advancements in climate data analysis and multi-hazard modelling were explored to improve risk assessment methodologies. Structural resilience and adaptation efforts focused on enhancing multi-hazard vulnerability analysis. A key highlight was the demonstration of the PRISKADAPT platform, where participants discussed data gaps and potential enhancements. The consortium also discussed on pilot cases and third-party use in the demonstration and validation phase. Lastly, dissemination, exploitation and policy contributions were emphasized, strengthening outreach, standardization efforts, and the project’s overall impact.
A highlight of the event was the technical workshop, where the PRISKADAPT platform was demonstrated, followed by an engaging discussion on its functionalities and potential applications.
Moving forward
With only ten months remaining in the project timeline, the consortium remains dedicated to ensuring impactful outcomes. The collaborative efforts from this meeting will drive the final stages of RISKADAPT, enhancing its ability to support risk-informed decision-making for climate change adaptation.
