Highlights from the RISKADAPT Workshop on “Risk Assessment of Structures under Climate Change”

On October 23, 2024, the RISKADAPT Workshop brought together 36 participants, joining both in person and online, for an engaging exploration of cutting-edge research on the resilience of structures under climate change. The event, organized by ERRA, took place at the Institute of Steel Structures at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, and provided a hybrid platform for knowledge exchange among experts.

The workshop opened with an introduction to the critical challenges posed by climate change to the environment, emphasizing the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Presentations provided valuable findings from the RISKADAPT, PLOTO, MIRACA, ICARIA, and YADES projects, showcasing advancements in climate data analysis, risk assessment techniques, and adaptation approaches tailored to diverse structural challenges.

The event underscored the shared commitment among researchers and practitioners to address the evolving challenges of climate change. Attendees from both industry and academia seized the opportunity to exchange ideas, build connections, and pave the way for collaborative advancements in the field.
